John Hilston earned a B.S. in Industrial Management from Grove City College (1996), the M.A. in Economics from Cleveland State University (1998) and the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida (2010).
At Grove City College, Dr. Hilston was influenced by G. Dirk Mateer and Walter E. Williams. Upon earning the M.A. in Economics he taught at six different Cleveland/Akron, Ohio area institutions. He then moved to Sanford, Florida where he taught Economics at Seminole Community College. He is now an Associate Professor of Economics at Brevard Community College in Palm Bay, Florida. His academic interests include political economy and college faculty political diversity.
