Tuition Refund Policy

Because we are convinced that the programs offered by Yorktown University will consistently meet your expectations, the following tuition refund policy is offered.

You may withdraw from your course, either before or after enrolling, subject to the following:

(1) Withdrawal may be requested by contacting the university in any manner-written, via email, FAX, or verbal.

(2) Approved refunds will be made by the Registrar within twenty-five days of a request for refund.

(3) Withdrawal becomes final when you receive notification from the university.


Tuition Refund
 
The date specified under "START DATE" is the official enrollment date.
I choose the following date as my START DATE for this course:

(1) If withdrawal from your course occurs anytime prior to five calendar days after the university accepts this enrollment, you may request a refund of all monies paid to the university.

(2) If withdrawal occurs more than five calendar days after the university accepts this enrollment, an application fee of $50 is non-refundable.

Cancellation After Commencement of the Course-Full and Half-time Students and Independent Study:  A student withdrawing from a course after the cancellation period will be subject to an administrative fee equal to 20% of the course tuition up to a maximum of $200 and remaining tuition will be refunded on the following basis:

*Multiple Course Plan: If a student contracts with Yorktown University for multiple courses, each course is treated separately for the purposes of calculating any refund. For example, if a student signs an agreement for 12 credits (4 courses), but completes only part of one 3 credit course, the student is entitled to a full refund on the remaining 9 uncompleted credits.

The university is not responsible for any other funds you may have expended including, but not limited to, cost of college transcripts, foreign credential evaluation, testing, and other miscellaneous student fees, textbook charges, shipping costs, etc.

Any monies paid by a third party will not be issued to you. The Payor may request a refund based upon the policy outlined above,

Any holder of this consumer contract is subject to all claims and defenses which the debtor could assert against the seller of goods or services obtained pursuant hereto or with the proceeds hereof. Recovery hereunder by the debtor shall not exceed the amount paid by the debtor hereunder.

If you have not indicated (above) what your START DATE is, within five days of submitting this Enrollment Agreement, select a Start Date, and email your selection to: registrar@yorktownuniversity.edu.

Degree Candidates enrolled in regularly scheduled semesters are given a maximum of eight weeks to complete coursework. A course extension fee of $50 may be assessed if you fail to complete coursework within eight weeks. The Start Date selected determines when this eight week period begins. Independent Study degree candidates enrolled in a minimum of two courses are encouraged to complete coursework within eight weeks of selecting a Start Date. A six week extension will be granted upon paying a course extension fee of $50.
